Update urgently needed!

WOW....I have been neglecting this blog. Well, folks, that time is done. Of course, it is late so just a super quick update: 1. I had to put Peaches to sleep last Friday 2. I am not working my day job (waiting for retirement stuff) 3. I need to work on my jewelery full time.

Go check out the funky monkey girls etsy store, we add some more stuff. Monkey mom bought the business an AWESOME camera BUT my lowely little laptop got bugs on it so I can't update the shops as fast as we want.

I take the pictures, save them on a computer & then e-mail them to mom. The Viva Mexico should be updated soon as well. I am still playing with what this camera can do, main problem is shadows. How do I get rid of the shadows when it is me trying to take the photo...ARGH!

I don't feel like working....I wanna bang on the drums all day.....sigh.

A side note...

I keep forgetting how close I am to California and that I am in Pacific time. Don't ask me why that just struck me but it did!

OH, also a friend of mine from high school who I hooked back up with on Facebook, is living in Las Vegas! So, once I am done with move etc....we are hooking up! That will be so fun to see her! She was a ditz in HS and I guess she still is:) Funny how some things don't change which of course, includes myself LOL!

I am feeling really blessed lately. Yes, the back is bugging me etc but God has just worked such miracles in my life, 1. I don't have high blood pressure nor heart problems (both sides of family) 2. I bought a house. 3. My parents are still alive and mom is my best friend! 4. My brothers are both saved and are such inspirations to me, you just can't imagine!

To be where I am now is nothing short of a miracle. I have had quite the life and let me tell you my guardian angel is bruised and battered but I wouldn't be here expect by the grace of God.

May we praise him on high!

Off from work

It was an interesting day....hopefully I will hear super awesome news tomorrow:) I find myself thinking like if I was blogging in my mind. Now, that could become quite serious, where are those happy pills of mine.

Mom and I are creating away and doing new stuff. My idea for polymer clay didn't exactly work out but I now have really beautiful and funky polymer clay beads. We picked up an oven thing so will be cooking tomorrow.

I kind of like having computer at home, just have to set it up so it is much more comfortable to type with then right now. Burning rings of fire in my shoulders and arms, to quote Johnny Cash:)

I wasn't ready to publish that last post....sheesh. Now, what I don't get is that when you are to send a project into a magazine, why do you need to follow the "so called" trends? Sorry but some of the trends that the bead magazines state is going to happen, don't. I guess it is kind of like government work, half the things they have you do is wrong & you know that it is but you still have to do it.

What kills me is when they state that you have to do a new procedure, don't test it and then spend oddles of money changing everything only to find out, the bloody thing doesn't work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! typical!!!

btw, I found the pictures of my living room, I am goofy:) The catus picture is made by paper by my most creative monkey momma:) I bought the Frida poster from an art museum in San Antonio, several of the items on my shelves are from Turkey when I was stationed there when I was in the AF. Huipiles are from Mexico and they are antique, I bought them from Margaret's shop which I have jewelery at in San Antonio.

We have decieded that we really need to take a photography class. We have beautiful product but just can't get that look on a website.

I really really want to be home playing. darn work, darn work paycheck. Opps, never mind about paycheck, paycheck is wonderful warm and fuzzy and we loves it!

I am going to get my bedroom/art studio set up. I will start hauling the stuff from the dining room into it. I will be missing my tv but I do have a smaller one that I can use. I think right now, it is SO VERY MESSY that I just can't think straight or find anything.

I am getting more inspired today. Not doing much at main work, sinus infection so brain doesn't feel like working. Luckly no major deadlines for me:)

I need to contact the registar at the U of A Fine Arts program to get set up for school! I am really really excited & really really nervous about it. FINALLY, doing something that I really wanted to do for a long time to keep moving my creativity forward!

Personal rant: One thing that I have noticed, is that I dislike when you blog a comment to someone that they don't reply. I know they are busy etc but can't you at least be polite & say thank you, I am glad that you enjoyed such and such. Not strike up a huge conversation but just let that person know that you at least read it.

I hope that when we get busier that if I forget to do this, that someone will smack me on the side of my head to remind me of this!
